Consuelo Zemello
She lives and works in Venice.
She studied engineering "playing" with numbers and is trying to direct her needs of rationality - which knows no faith - towards work.
In her free time she loves to travel and capture images, responding to an innate need for escape and research.
Thus her passions: numbers in a row in order to understand, the lens between her eyes and the world.
Among various projects related to photography, in 2008 she published the four-handed book "Tampyti", investigating possible contamination between writing and images.
Her still life and abstract pictures are the backdrop for a series of short stories. The purpose is: to turn into forms the emotions arising from reading stories. One of this photos was selected by photographer Claudio Abate and published on the website of the Mart, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto.
In recent years she has ventured into set photos, shooting, during the filming, of a couple of amateur films. Framing people has had a disruptive effect.
The practical experience gained so far, working mostly with landscapes and objects, has inevitably been brought into question in front of a changeable subject as a human being is. And this experience has certainly produced transformations in her relationship with the lens.
Furhtermore, she loves to create personal travel stories, selecting some of the snapshots taken around the world. The different places on the planet offer the visitor each time different ideas. The mere will to take pictures means to take home a part of that gift and thus have time to process it.
To move all these experiences is always the same thrust: to cross her own experience with the evocative power of an image, so that it is the guardian of an emotion.
